 What's up peeps!!!! -It's all good- That's nice... Well, anyway this is my first time doing this just like everyone else in the room right now so yeah. Right now we are talking about The Lightning Thief chapter 7 to be correct, and how the dinner table is how you could say magical. I say that only because when you want a drink you think of what you want and BOOM it's there. I think thats pretty cool. Wellll anyways now were on to the the personal writting process. We had to write out the writing process on a blank sheet of paper yesterday and today Ms. Nakada is explaining it. Write now the nerdz are reworking on the writing process in case they messed up or needed to do something ect., so yeah... Everyone is working quietly on the writing process while Ms. Nakada is going around checking everybodys T.L.T notes for their grade.

Well heres your Question of the day with whats happened to Percy Jackson so far do you think that you would enjoy the life he has right now or just want your life to go back to normal???

Hey, Nakada's nerdzzzz..... today in class we are adding up are grades to see what we are having in this class. I really like this because I can always know my grade. Ms. Nakada is letting the class use their phones to use the calculator to see the percentage of their grades. Anyway, in Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief. There is a lot going on. They get to know Annabeth and also Clarisse daughter of the war and he doesnt like Nacy. Luke's a son of hennres a council. Clarisse gives Percy a swirly and Percy gets his revenge by toilet water. how would you like it if you got a swirly? Now we are going to the table of contex and writing the writing process. Ms. Nakada is telling the class to re read the chapters to understand more. Now we are doing the writing process.

When doing the pre write you don't turn it in because people are thinking. Always proof-reading and revising. Anyway i am running out of ideas so..... bye!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guy todays  monday boring as usual just kidding. today we had to work in our journals we had to do a lot  of pages. first we did revision marks, personal spelling, adn last we did english scores.Now  we are reading the lighting thief pages 75-92.In the story percy is now in "Summer Camp". percy and grover played pinochle a horse. Pinochle is a type of card game, But later on percy discovers that "mr. brunner is a horse. would you be scared if youu played pinochle with a horse?Well the bell just rang so im in ah hurry bye!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Friday everyone. I hope all of you are as excited for the weekend as I am. This is the 9th day of school and it is going really well. So ,first this morning we started reading the blog from yesterday and now we are working on our T.L.T notes. I am not really sure what to write because i am new at this. Anyways, we are summarizing what had happenend it chapter 5 of The Lightning Thief. The title of this chapter is "I play pinocle with a horse." Now we are popcorn reading chapter 5. I think chapter 5 was an intersting chapter because Percy finally arrived at camp and he found that Chiron is actually Mr. Brunner, the camp director is Mr. D and that Mr. Brunner was a horse. What was your favorite chapter? My favorite chapter is probably chapter 4. I'm running out of things to blog :P. Now we are collecting our reading journals from 1.1 - 2.4 and working on our who are you. This is a very short blog #sorrynotsorry.

HW: "Who Are You" due tomorrow~!

                It is now the eighth day of school and our class is holding up pretty well. So far, we have earned 1 point for our period and we are striving for that magic number of ten.  Can't wait for them shakez! As of the second day of school, our class has begun reading the book Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief and have taken several sets of notes on each of the chapters that we have read. Now that we are starting to read chapter 6 of the book, we have learned that Percy Jackson, the main character, is beginning to realize that his life as a troublesome sixth grader is rapidly changing by the day. He will have to learn of his real heritage and his responsibilities as a half-blood, but anyway, enough of that. In class, we are now starting to create our "who are you" projects, but of course since this is me who is writing to you now, I get to do the assignment for homework. Yay for me!?! Ding!!! Ding!!! Ding!!! That's the bell. Gotta go, 2~Dueces~2!!!

Hey Hey Hey. Right now we are talking about the chapter that we read for home work. We are re-reading the chapter so that we can refresh our memory. This chapter is called "My mother teaches me bullfighting."Wish my mom taught me to bull fight. He is basically attacked by a Hey does some one smell coffee? This class seems to love the book. I know that I do. Post a comment if you agree. OMG! Percy totally just lost his mom. I feel so bad for him. What would you do if you lost some one or something that you loved? How can you put yourself in Percy Jacksons shoes. Maybe not in his shoes, your feet my be too small but how can you relate to Percy?  Wow! This is a lot shorter than it was in my head. I sorta ran out of stuff to say so.....got milk, stay in school, Y.O.L.O. BYE. POST A COMMENT OR FEEL MY WRATH.

Well, Trystan had to go get a uniform change so she missed our new writing task which is to choose one of several different ways to express who you are. That was it!

T.L.T. P 44-56 whats up nerdz! right now I'm listening to the nerdz do popcorn on Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief.  Today is probably gonna be a short blog but I'll enjoy it because I don't have to read! in Percy Jackson... three old ladies were knitting socks with their boney arms and fingers. Grover was twitching and Percy asked if they were looking and Grover said, "yeah! do you think those socks will fit me?"  that was my favorite part of the reading today and yet everyone is still reading!! 

 

Right now they're talking about the beer smelling love life of Smelly Gabe and Sally Jackson.

We learn more about Percy's father and summer camp and I think Ms.Nakada is annoyed because of everyone... (sigh) I hope we get a point extra today. That night a thunder strikes out and Percy has a crazy dream. I already know because it is my second time reading this book. Grover knocked on the door real hard and sally was not surprised that he had no pants on and has goat legs... and she seemed to want to know more about school then about Grover trying to get to the camero in goat hooves. that's all for today NERDZ! The bell just rang so Cya!

Today we are talking about notes and how we write cornell notes. The topic is "What Do Good Readers Do."  Then Ms. Nakada got annoyed because she got a paper and it was cut off on the side, the fact that is was cut off on the side and they wanted her to post it in the classroom.

Today this blog is going to be really short because I don't what exactly to talk about. I have never done this before!

All of a sudden Julian says there is an beautiful peach under his seat and he says its so beautiful lol

We are also continuing the topic from Friday only we are just figuring out what should the questions should be. Random topic I have noticed that we have no points for everyone doing all there homework.! What is up with you people not doing your homework, I mean come on It's not that hard!!!!!!!!!! 

The Lightning Theif is about so far Percy Jackson is half blood, he is a trouble kid, "single" mom, goes to a bording school, expelled from other schools (to me i think this guy is a weirdo) and blah blah blah

Now we are dooing popcorn reading and its going pretty well.

Happy Friday Everyone!!!!!!!

So today we started period 1 off with comments on the blog. Shockingly, no one commented. We all came up with some. By the way, congragulations to Nico and Flower for winning/earning the first top comment candy prizes!!!! Then, we wrote them down in our reading/writting notes.

Any way, Nerdz, next we talked about our reading plan for the semester. I said "Dang it!" because she said we couldn't read any books we  already have read. For me that is The Hunger Games series. Side note, who's excited for Catching Fire in November?! That was so off topic. Then we talked about what we have planned for the semester. Flower then mentioned about reading Suicide Notes and I freaked out! That is my all time favorite book!

Right now people are reading The Lightning Thief so Ms. Nakada can go around and check the reading journals. Since it's Friday, we are doing readers workshop. Every Friday is when we do reader's workshop. Comment of the day, What books do YOU plan to read and what you are going to do to get there? The period ended so I'm signing   off. Julian Out!

Today Ms. Nakada checked all of her NERDZ last night's homework which was to read and write a summary on pg. 1-15 of The Lightning Thief. Hopefully every one did their homework so we can earn points so we can get pizza or donuts or even MILKSHAKES if we reach 10 points. After we began talking about the book. Ms. Nakada would read the book and would ask a question and her NERDZ would awnser. Some of Nakada's NERDZ read out thier summary on the pages of the book. She will read our summary tommarow and it will be are first reading journal grade.

LOOK AT MS. NAKADA AND HER NERDZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We created a reading/writting notebook table of contexts. Then, we made our first page of our reading journal which is called what good readers do. Comment: What you think good readers do. We also got post-it notes and Ms. Nakada said they're not for writing things like Kick Me and posting it on people's backs. They are for writing English class notes. LOL. The class laughed. The bell rang so I'm signing off. Bye Bye.

It's the second day of school and first period is off to a great start. Students came into class and wrote down the agenda. We named our blog, which as you can see is Nakada's Nerdz. I called roll and filled out the seating chart. Students made a pile at the aisle of course outlines which I collected. ALMOST everyone turned them in. I discussed with the class how they can earn points for perfection (perfect attendance and perfect homework submission) and rewards like doughnuts or pizza. YUM!

The A/C stands for abandoned or completed. Then we started reading The Lightning Thief as a class and set up the actual reading journals like this:

We read aloud and discussed the beginning of The Lightning Thief. We talked about the homework which is to read pages 1-15 of The Lightning Thief and to write a summary which should include the characters, setting and conflict.
