Hello, Nerdz. Today we're still working on the perfect paragraph. Gosh other classes are loud. Everyone is trying to finish their perfect paragraph, and now people are getting their alpha smarts, those computer things. Now everyone is typing. That's all... nothing going on, just typing. Remember to study all TLT notes and all the other notes. 7th grade is getting mean D: so don't be mean to others. This blog is very random just saying. Also, the school is having power problems and the internet is pretty bad, there's like 1-4 bars. Ms. Nakada is now getting angry that the printer isn't working. It's
really cold in here the AC must be working or the wind is blowing. Well, people are now taking their
mug shots because of their reading banned books. Now the class is filling out there editor's submission forms you must have 8 sentences, present tense and the last thing is no I, my or me, and you must always underline a book title. I might have spelling mistakes so don't get mad at me. Now the bell is about ring so bye.

Here's the question of the blog. Would Percy ever die if he lived in the ocean, hint water heals Percy?

Hi, Nerdz! This is Kyomi reporting! I really don't know how to do this, so don't blame me for mistakes I do. So right now we are doing grammer notes. Students are correcting grammer errors and writing out how the grammer should really be. Ms. Nakada is explaining how to do this stuff. Now we are turning to our The Lightning Thief notes. We are thinking of questions, good ones though. Text, thinking, and you to the world questions. People are giving questions to Ms. Nakada, and hopefully answering them and using LOGIC to answer them. Now we are doing our summary for chapters 16 to 22. Percy travels from Vegas to Los Angeles, and makes his way to the underworld. His quest is fufilled when he defeats Ares, and returns the bolt. We have a test on The Lightning Thief on Thursday, remember to study! Now we are doing our summaries on how the settings impact on Percy. Basically, we have to pick three settings that impact on Percy and explain how. If you are done wtiting your rough draft, we can use the alfasmart thing to type it in. There are a bunch of those things under Ms. Nakada's desk. Well......everyone's working quietly and happily. The bell just rang, well.......... have a good day!

Hey, Nerdz. Today we took notes on chapters 21 & 22 and those are the last chapters of the book. Today we learned that Percy's mother was returned to the apartment safely, Percy go's to NY and enters Mount Olympus to return the Lightning Bolt and to blame Ares, and Percy gets betrayed by luke and almost dies. We also learned how to use alpha smart and how to upload it to the computer and get our specific alpha smarts YAY!!! We continued working on our paragraphs analyzing how setting impacts characters or plot.

Hey, Nerdz! So right now we are working on working on Analyzing Text. What setting did you pick? (That's not the main question) I choose Camp Half-blood, the Waterpark, and the fight with Ares at Santa Monica. The nerds are working while Mrs.Nakada is checking our reading journals. Ms. Nakada just told us to take out a blank sheet of paper. We are writing our analyzing our paragraph. We need to name our paragraph. Our thesis explains what your going to write about.We highlight our first sentence highlight green. Mr.Watson is here! I don't know why though. Class is about to end and my blog is really short. Sorry nerds! I'm not a good blogger. I noticed that Ms. Nakada has all lot of pictures. The funniest is where Mr. Hastings is in a duck dress thing. lol. Any ways who's excited for Holoween!!?? Lol, I am hearing Ms. Graham singing! Anyways here's my question: if you were Percy would you have accepted the quest in the first place? Well, bye, Nerdz!

  YAY WERE ALMOST FINISHED WITH THE BOOOOOOOOOK!!!!!!!!!!

In class, we first wrote the agenda then we read chapter 20 and Ares the war god was the one who stole the lightning blot and helm of darkness so he's the badguy and stuff, not Hades. So, After Percy and his friends get magically teleported Percy and Ares fight each other and stuff. Ok after that we are writing about how setting shapes the character and plot. Ms. Nakadas words exactly, but I don't know what that means.

      Hey Nerdz!!! Well, like always we started off by writing our homework and our agenda. After that Brian read his blog and so did Ms. Nakada. Then we packed up and went outside and got in a line because Ms.Nakada assigned us a new seat. Once we were in our new seats we started The Lightning Thief Notes. We finished our notes on chapter 17 and started on chapter 18 and 19 were almost done with the book. Yay!! Well after that we started another page of notes on analyzing setting. We started listing many settings in book, but we had to pick only three of the settings to write about how these develop character or plot.

Well, the bell rang bye!!

The blog wasn't loading and I had to check reading journals so we were a little behind today. The water spillage also didn't help us catch up... but at least reading journals are checked and the water is cleaned up. We talked about chapter 17 of The Lightning Thief. This is the part where they get to Santa Monica and Percy gets some additional help from the depths of the sea. Then they travel to West Hollywood (quite possibly passing right by Emerson) and to a waterbed store... that's it for today!

Here's a question for today: What might happen if Percy spilled water in class?

Well, there were a lot of commentes on Seghan's blog. We are doing T.L.T. notes for chapter 16 "We Take a Zebra to Vegas." I don't really now how to do this at all. LOL even though I'm the eighteenth blogger. Well, we're done taking notes and we are now taking out our reading jounal. This week we had to wirte a lot of reading journals but it's good that Ms. Nakada is giving us until Monday.

WASSABI Nerdz... This is my first school blog!!! (I'm using too many exclamation marks) Today we are taking The Lightning Thief notes, the questions and summary for chapters 10-15. 

Now we are are starting to write a paragraph about the different obstacles that Percy has gone through on his quest so far. During it, we are highlighting the parts in Red, Yellow, and Green. We are telling about each task and putting it into a sntence for our paragraph.

Back to School Night Tomorrow!
             
             Hey Nerdz, this is my first time doing this so sorry if I mess up >.< Right now what we are doing is writing notes on The Lightning Thief. Percy jumps out of the The Arch as he falls in the water. He thinks he is going to die, but he starts to breathe underwater and a water spirit comes and tells him to go to Santa Monica Beach. As he gets out, everyone is staring at him and a reporter says its the boy from the bus accident! He goes to Annabeth and Grover as they head back on the train to Denver.
              They arrive in Denver and use a car wash to contact Luke (Sorry about my spelling right now) Percy tells Luke about whats happening so far. They head to a diner and Ares shows up and tells them to go get his sheild and he will tell Percy about how his mom is doing. They head to the Tunnel of Love in and old water park, it turns out it was a trap! (Who saw this coming?) The boat breaks and spiders come out in all directions and Annabeth starts to scream and freak out (What would you do if u were in Annabeth's place with spiders?) they get the shield and leave the water park to go talk to Ares.
             Now, we are writing Elements of Plot in our table of content, and starting to work on it. Then we are writing Step-Up to Writing in out table of content and Ms. Nakada is handing out highlighters. (Good thing I have my own) Well, we are heading out so imma go, Bye!

If you were in the place of Annabeth or Grover what would you do?

HEYYYY!!!! Well right now Ms.Nakada is passing  out the file folders and were adding up the English scores. We're doing the letter home #1 in the letter were telling the person were writing to what we've been doing so far in this class. She's telling us how to setup the letter and the grades we can get. the first pargraph is about the purpose and the book we've been reading. The second paragraph is about the class blog (which I didn't want to do. I was about to cry) and explain what thats all about and we've mostly did so far. The third paragragh is the closing. We're just working on the letter home. This is really short but I really don't like doing this things so BYE.Oh wait the question of the day is how do you like this class so far?

Hey everybody! I am Mrs. Nakada's newest blogger! right now the nerdz are doing T.LT cornell notes for chapter 10. Percy, Annabeth, and Grover set off on they're journey. They were given money, ($$)
magic flying shoes and their other magic items. The hero trio gets on a bus when they notice that        Mrs. Dodds and her sisters get on the bus and are after Percy when Annabeth puts the invisability cap on Percy and tells him to run but Percy won't leave his friends. He goes up to the bus driver and wrestles him for the wheel. They have a big fighting sequence (a lot of details, too many words) then they win get off bus bus explodes (No biggy right?). Then they disappear into forest. Let's see how they are doing. Question Time! If you were a halfblood of any god you wanted (including the big 3)
what god would you want your parent to be? Anyways, in chapter 11 the heroes and protecter are starving when they find a store called the gnome emporium. It smells like a fast food place (yum) and they go in and find the owner Aunty Em. She seems nice feeding them and all but they figure out its really medusa she tries to kill Annebeth but percy swings his magic sword and kills her he mails the head to the gods to show them what he did. That's the chapter aannnyways that was the bell peace out.

Hey Nakada's Nerdz right now we are learning about what happens in chapter 9. Percy finds out in this chapter that someone stole Zues' lightning bolt and he is blaming Percy for stealing it since he was in New York at the time of the stealing. Zues thinks that Percy stole it because gods cant steal from other gods. After Chiron tells Percy this he went to the Oracle to get his mission. Percy finds out that he has to go to the underworld so he can get the lightning bolt, so that he can return it to Zues before the gods get into their big fight. I think that chapter 9 is very intersesting becauase ercy finds out a lot of information on what is happening and he finds out his mission. Whats your favorite chapter in The Lightning Thief and why? Well now the nerdz are finishing up their cornell notes.

Now the nerdz are working on their grammar notes and writing what a verbtense is and how to write in past tense. Do you know what verb tense is? Well, that's the bell bye.

This morrning we started of by writing about what happened in chapter 8 of The Lightning Theif.
We find out that Percy is the son of the big 3 (Poseiden). This means that percy is now determined
and had his own cabin where he could make his own rules. Next we started our grammar notes
Ms. Nakada explained that we capitalize proper nouns and you don't capitalize nouns. After that Ms. Nakada said that we could get a head start on our himework which was Reading Journal 4.1 T.L.T pg.127-148. While her nerdz where working Ms. Nakada went around and checked our last reading journal notes and our Personal Writing Process.

Well, now we are packing up because the bell just rang bye.
