Agenda
Blog
Student Led Conferencing
Poetry: Langston Hughes
HW: RJ 11.3 15-20 pages

HEY Nerdz! So Nico choose me to do the blog :( I really didnt want to do it but what ever. Ms.Nakada decided to dress up as Gloria Steinem. We got a small paper with a quote on it. Mine had this quote"We've begun to raise daughters more like sons...but few have the courage to raise our sons more like daughters." Monica's said " The truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off".  Right now we are doing the Spring Student Led Conferencing. Even if we dont come to Conference Night
we still need to show them these things :

Reading Journal

AR - word count - test passed
Blog
Smarter Balance Site
Portfolio of your wok
Grade Report
and three things we want to tell them about
This paper is worth 30 points and 5 extra points if they respond (2 points if they just sign it)

So a couple of people are passing back your portfolio so you can check your grades.
The class is pretty noisy but not as loud as Mr. Gabriches.

Ms.Nakada asked us to take out our poetry notes. We are going to learn about Langston Hughes. He was lived from 1962-1967. He lived in the Harlem Renissance era. He wrote poems about dreams. One of his famous poets is Dream Deferred. Bell just rang bye
