Hi Nerds, today I am your blogger. So today we started by Brianna(rat)reading her blog. Then we got our Letter Homes back. Now we are working on writing persuasive essays. The class is watching a film called "The Story of Bottled Water" by Anne Leonard. We are arguing if bottled water or tap water is better. A lot of people think bottled water and so do I, but the video is arguing that tap water is better because a)it is easier to excess b) healthier c) cheap. What is not so good about bottled water is that a) the disposal b) expensive c) unhealthy. We are demanding clean safe water for all. These are the notes we took from the video:

1/3 of bottled water is filtered tap water
Most regulated bottles are sent to India
Only 20% of bottles are recycled
Bottled water costs 200% more than tap

The Nerds are getting a little loud. These are the questions the Nerds need to answer:

1.) Who is narrating the video?
The person narrating the video is Anne Leonard.
2.) What argument is she making?
The argument that she making that tap water is better than bottled water
3.) Why is this issue important?
This issue is important we are wasting money rip off product that costs more and taste worst.

These are key vocabulary and a quote from the video.

regulated: check to make sure it follow the rules
"Is it cleaned, sometimes, sometimes not. In many ways bottle water is less regulated than tap."

campaign: persuasive series of activities
pristine: clean or pure
sustainable: maintain or continuable
consumer demand: how much something is wanted
manufactured demand: company created demand
designer product: branding, image associated with product
environmental responsible: good for the health of the planet

Question time: What book are you reading? Nobody comments anymore. Anyways, now we are talking about what things are regulated. Sorry most of the blog was class notes. Well, the bell is about to ring so bye :)
